Sharing ISO ROM's might not be the safest thing, i remember hearing about a 'cord server for PS1 and PS2 games that got taken down becuase they distributed ISO ROM files.

yeah but theres like a bajilion sites that host emulated games (kbhgames, miniplay, retrogames, etc.) but i understand that nintendo is that jewish to take down games that run on consoles they dont use anymore

I believe the only reason they stay up is because they give the excuse that they're not providing download links to the ROMs themselves and are basically the site owner's personal collection. If we did ourselves like a Zimm's Lair or whatever else, the games industry would rape this site into the ground at a moment's notice. It's fair game to discuss and share patches using an external source (because they can't hold legal distribution rights over patches unless they created it). Good idea, but that is a legal dilemma I personally don't wish to deal with until America's game distribution laws are fundamentally rewritten.

I'll think about how rom hack distribution on this site might work once I figure out what we can legally do. It probably would have to have high restrictions, though, since it'll require the uploading of irregular files that could cause issues if left unchecked.

my first thought about rom hack distribution on this site is to distribute it via a mediafire link with an ips patch to put in the original game. if i were to upload the full rom, this site might get fedded for piracy maybe (edit: now that i think about it, i-mockery distributed full on roms of rom hacks on their site and their shits still up for 1 billion years now)
