User Verification Change

Posted under /swa2/

Hello new users,
If you create a new account after this point, you may wonder why it requires e-mail verification to be activated. Well, to combat The Raped leapfrogging from one IP to the next because they can't stand being away from here for more than a few minutes, I have turned on our in-house restriction system! Now you'll never be able to upload, comment, post, and basically do anything else until you verify by contacting this e-mail: [email protected] with the address you registered with and convince me that you belong on this website. For many uninitiated newcomers, this should be easy, swift, and most important of all, safe. For The Raped however, good luck!Any temp e-mail you use will result in immediate refused access to the site.

Edit 05-07-2026

Yeah, I can see why the original idea is too rulecucked. I wanted a bit of downtime until I settled an IRL matter before full-throttling the jimmy rustling. Restriction mode has been lifted, but *(points at the queers hanging out in the shadows)* just know that we have systems in place to prevent mass spergatry. Disregard my statement above this edit unless you're already in the middle of verification.

I have not figured out if such systems exist within our architecture or if it's possible with our current networking. Underneath all this remains Danbooru's base functions, which doesn't mind handing out limp-wristed punishments.

I don't like this. Having to send an email sending an application to a shitposting site is too rulecucked

I don't like this either, and as soon as I figure out a better way of culling the leapfrogs, I'm switching it back to normal. (I think I already have some ideas of implementing a hardware ban system, but I'll have to test it)

Know what, as long as any moderator or admin don't see any signs of our current leapfrogs in new users, they can unrestrict them without e-mail verification. I'm working at a million miles a minute here and didn't think about that side of things when drafting the forum topic.

I agree and i hope TeeThingus can integrate hardware banning into $WÅ

I trust you, if you can give this site a whole new makeover then i'm confident you'll find a better way to ban users.

yeah what is their problem with us SWAryans

For finocide, it's solely because we banned his account for pedophilic activity outside the site. That felted him so hard that he became our blood enemy and would obsess over us during the time between his ban here and his ban on Soybooru. He only makes new accounts to try to one-up us for his Jarty 'cord (he did have 'cord in that one image he took of his desktop) and try to do to us what we did to him or whatever. Astolfo is a porn-addicted swarthoid with Asperger's and became hyperfixated with us.

We simply exist and fandumbs and spergs cannot stand our existence.

kind of a strong reaction to finocuck. chances are once he gets zero attention then he will get bored and give up on trying to infiltrate this place

It is when you're looking at this from a right-now standpoint, but his recent actions represent a larger problem present in our system for well over a year. Sure, we can give ban evaders zero attention and unceremoniously cull their accounts as soon as possible, but with having experienced the Quban Queer, someone who we repeatedly done the very same disinterested song and dance with for several months off and on, approaching this leapfrogging problem - past, present, or future - with that kind of attitude won't work when there's evidence that we can do more to actively push back against this. I'll revert the change in two days when I'm more aware of what I need to work with.

honestly why apply this system now and not when failtrolls start being an actual annoyance rather than coming back 1 or 2 times per week? it's just too rulecucked for the current state of this site and it may discourage new users

I had only recently recalled this little mechanic being here and wanted to test it. After I lift this restriction, I'd probably save it in case of a larger wave of Rapeds try to upset site stability.
