Everything within the first series of bullets.
Hello everyone, and welcome to the 0.3.5 update for SWAbooru! This was a long time coming, and there's plenty of work that was done in the meantime. Here are our new features:
To change your Default PFP to a custom one, go into your account settings and set "Is PFP Custom?" to "Yes." All you need to do then is upload whatever image you want in Upload, (no need to post it) and take the id from the Media Asset and paste it inside the "Custom PFP" number box. As long as the image is 1:1 aspect ratio, at or below 1600px, and the image exists, it should change the question mark image to your custom one. If your Custom PFP were to be deleted, there's a backup image that's supposed to replace it.
Custom PFPs follow the rules of posting, and anyone posting explicit content will have their PFPs reset, and illegal content will be punished accordingly.
Upload Flash content to play in browser or download for personal use.
(Warning: You need to disable scrolling via arrow keys, as they will affect visibility if you're outside fullscreen mode)
Depending on the type of Commentary Title you add, the title will appear in the Flashcorner listing for ease of differentiating content. Auto-Approval will be the same as regular posts (twenty minutes after posting), but approvers and above can unapprove or reject Flash posts if they have doubts about the content within until everything's clear. Site-specific keyboard shortcuts are always disabled on Flash posts.
This will be added soon to the official rules, but any and all future Flashcorner content MUST be original content or relate to $WÅ culture in some form or fashion.
Flash & Video posts are now able to change their thumbnail to any Media Asset within a specific aspect ratio range. This is the algorithm for determining if a custom thumbnail is too disproportionate for display:
THUMBNAIL_WIDTH / 2 > THUMBNAIL_HEIGHT x 1.4, OR, THUMBNAIL_HEIGHT / 2 > THUMBNAIL_WIDTH x 1.4
Just to let you know, this gives a significant amount more room than you expect.
Explicit and Illegal thumbnails will be punished accordingly. Moderation is able to edit your thumbnails as well. Thumbnails that are deleted will be replaced with a Missing Thumbnail image.
Admins are able to create banners at the request of users.
You're able to upload the images for banners using the same methods as Custom PFPs and Thumbnails. Keep them between 1320px wide, 280px tall at maximum, and 330px wide, 70px tall at minimum for the default resolution. You're able to create a variety of wide banners images (i.e. 1320x70px) and thin banners images (i.e. 330x280px) if you want, although it should still give insight on where the user is being advertised towards.
Always specify the background style, url destination, and hover text description when requesting. (See the request template once I'm finished with it.)
A majority of the requested banners will be sent to the low-priority free category. You'll be able to pay $1 USD per month for EACH banner you choose to be sent to the high-priority category. You will NEVER be charged for high-priority banners you're gifted (gift symbol in the listing) from future lotteries, events, and contests.
40% likelyhood of encountering a random low-priority banner, while high-priority has a 60% chance to appear.
All admins are free to monetize creating and updating high-priority banners for users as long as they respect the $1 USD per month model. Ask me for the spreadsheet when you want to for better tracking.
A significant sum of the funds provided by the users of this site when sent to me will go directly back into funding the site itself. I, Tee I. Thingus, will never ask for more money from those who wish to give a fixed amount to help the site stay online.
Choose from an assortment of click effects inside the account settings under "Clickmarker."
"Hitmarker" is always the default, even for anonymous users.
To better support the 14-18 age range of users who are allowed to shitpost here, I revised the default blacklist tags. If you wish to update your own tags to reflect our modern system, here it is:
gore furry 'o cropped_porn porn rating:explicit rating:questionable
(I will acknowledge the safety procedures minors should take on this site in a future wiki entry.)
If you wish to browse SWAbooru in public, but hate that posts don't have the censor image when you log in, then go to your settings and toggle true the "Show Censored Thumbnails?" option.
I added four thumbnails to the randomizer:
Create dtext-supported polls using dynamic text sorting, i.e. pc-1: and finishing with ::end. It's case insensitive.
polling #<ID_NUMBER>.
iBooru & SWAero have previously-teased Feature icons
[gator], a variation of [quote] that is this site's greentext format. A "gator" button will appear right next to "reply" and will automatically add ">" to the very beginning of the text. :avaorndib:, :avaorndaero:, :onion:, :bruhfunnychef:, :swagplatter:, :fagplatter:, :ghoofiah:, :happymerchant:, :nigcow:, :pingas:, :armeniancory:, :armenianrage:, :swedishcory:
It's been over a year now since SWAbooru launched, and 2025, for better or worse, has been a long year. As we trudge through 2026, expect various additions for RDR-0.4 sooner, rather than later:
[swatch].
I'm sure there's more things I'm including for RDR-0.4 that I forgot about, but that's the general gist of things.
Just pushed out the patch.
I think there's more, but I can't be bothered to remember it all right now.

Just pushed out the patch.
- Reworked the Polling system to be more user-friendly.
- Added a helper link beneath any input box that requires media asset ID to send you directly to your media assets (with media asset ID now easily readable directly beneath the image).
- Added Barry.
- Fixed a few bugs that I had missed while implementing the Custom PFP and Custom Thumbnail systems.
- Allowed more freedom for moderators to do their thing.
