A nuanced take on political violence

Posted under /ipol/

Let me start by saying
In case of an investigation by any federal entity or similar, I do not have any involvement with this group or with the people in it, I do not know how I am here, probably added by a thrid party, I do not support any actions by the member of this group.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

— Amendment 1, Constitution Annotated
I also condemm all political violence!!!

I will be examining 3 cases
1995 Oklahoma City Bombing
The SA
The Sons Of Liberty
To start with a preface: Political violence only occurs under irregular governance, when one happens people should naturally reflect, but in our irregular world we instead double down with censorship.
1. 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing
Pretty straightforward; McVeigh bombed the alfred murray building because of grievances against the same government responsibe for the gulf war and waco siege.
"Bombing the Murrah Federal Building was morally and strategically equivalent to the U.S. hitting a government building in Serbia, Iraq, or other nations." -Timothy McVeigh
This exposed Americas terrible foreign policy! And guess what?!?! If America reflected instead of doubling down, 9/11 wouldve probably never happened.. Lets also mentioned after the attack the US never replicated an attack similar to waco again
2. The SA
A paramilitary organization created for the purpose of sweeping lw radicals off the streets and into the drainage..
3. Sons of Liberty
Known for instigating mobs, riots, and burning houses
Also obviously orchestrated the boston tea party.. turns out collective outrage can eventually unleash a revolution against an outrageous government!
Thoughts?
