Note: I plan on starting a full-fledged CoD Zombies General thread here soon, but I really need to get this out ASAP.
So the new map came out a few hours ago. Here's everything I've analyzed so far:
Cons:
>map was basically dropped down the toilet by Treyarch and left to rot. No hype whatsoever from anyone. No talk except for the trailer. Radio silence from the studio and publisher despite promise of communication after TheGhostOfHope's assassination.
>original idea of map was supposed to be the nuclear aftermath of New York City in WW2 with Nazi imagery. Treyarch dropped the map because it made developers too uncomfortable. This map was in development and basically finished before the budget was nuked. <-- Lol
>two Nuketowns you switch between each dog round. Plaguehounds are back, except this time, they release a cloud of radiation that seemingly reuses the Fallout event's radiation system. You cannot outrun these new dogs and they will rapidly rape you until you're dead. Epic win for Dog Camp supporters!
>Nuketown you spawn at (BO2-Style) is a poor man's Nuketown Survival. There's no big geographical shifts to increase difficulty and limit movement to the backyards through the tight houses. Both alleys, garages, and house doors are separate buyable paths.
>get a face-full of the lowest-quality mushroom cloud in COD history as soon as you spawn in. Nuketown Survival's looks a thousand times better.
>nuke crater doesn't exist. That means no displacement in landscape and takes away spectacle in location.
>entire area is bathed in Breaking Bad Mexico dehydrated piss filter lighting. Nuketown Survival looks a thousand times better in comparison.
>neither Nuketown clock and population counter ticks down, removing pivotal map sounds, ambience, and mechanics. There could be a side quest to fix it, but the damage has already been done.
>the Blundergat is back for NOSTALGIA-BAIT! This time with eternity-length reload times, ZERO bullet penetration, and LOW damage! It can almost kill one or two zombies on low rounds and it doesn't matter if it's The Sweeper or not! It's actually COMPLETELY USELESS!
>upgrade quest for the "Sundergat" ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ is retarded and I tuned out during the entire process. Apparently, you need to kill "tortured zombies" that come from flame tornados in-map near the workbench each round until it becomes available. There's zero indication that you need to do this, and it sucks.
>despite being told that there is no elite enemy added to the map, and not showing up in the trailers, Shock Mimics are the elite enemy of the map! Fucking kill yourself, Kevin Drew, and the team of con artists you lead into oblivion!
>perk machines no longer drop down randomly every few rounds for added challenge like Nuketown Survival. They all spawn in randomized, fully ready to drink.
>main (aka: ONLY) draw of the map is the time travel mechanic. Immediately overstays its welcome. Each travel is 3k points in a terrible point economy system. Portal randomly fails to reactivate immediately afterwards, leading to pointless round progressions. EVERYTHING relies heavily on repeatedly and rapidly switching between times.
>after the first dog round, you swap over to BO6's Nuketown. There is almost no difference between layout of either the BO2-Styled Nuketown and BO6's Multiplayer map. It is just a reskin with other perk locations.
>New map additions to spice up gameplay include: Trinity Avenue STREET and a garage from one of the other houses. Nothing else. The latter location is unlocked only during the map quest.
>all characters are written like shit and I hate them. The twins are implied to be separate personality chunks of Samantha Maxis. It is unknown if Sam will return as a child, and if so, if man-faced Elizabeth Grey becomes a raging pedophile after this map. If so, unbelievable jek at the low-testosterone lesbian fetishists (Jrrizzo, just to name one) and other such faggots who supported that back in Cold War. They are now associated with pedophilia, if they weren't already that to begin with.
>Strauss and Peck can now walkie-talkie into the Dark Aether to provide their roles from BO6, ABYSMAL FORCED EXPOSITION! ๐ฅณ๐๐๐ฅณ๐๐๐ฅณ๐
>Warden wants to merge all timelines into one where the Confederacy won and slaves are hecking wholesome chungus one-hundred. Legit trUnion latinx Redditor story beats. Though, it is jekworthy to think that the state-enforced bad guy would directly benefit the Jews given that's who wanted slaves the most in the Confederate South.
>round change music blows dick in both parts of the map. BO6-Style uses snippets of Alpha Omega's soundtrack to nostalgia-bait mental retards who still soypog at this game.
>zombies spawn from the void inside houses, making them impossible to work around when training NEAR the houses.
>there were leaked plans of making the BO2-Style portion a survival map. Why? It serves no purpose given that it isn't as good as either BO2's Nuketown Survival or Alpha Omega (I'm serious. Alpha Omega looks COMPETENT in comparison to this map.)
>so far, no bunker access, even during the map quest.
>map quest is dogshit. Steps have little correlation with logic. Reminds me of maps like Revelations.
>despite all the downtime between seasons, this map is extremely glitchy and untested.
>Redditors and Xiggers like this map and are actively in damage control. You will find comments and posts on r/CODZombies rightfully panning this map being MASSIVELY downvoted and deleted.
Pro:
>mystery box changes to the BO6 skin when you go to BO6-Style Nuketown. That's it. The only pro this map has to offer.
I might've missed something, but I'm seeing so much red right now, I can't make out the flames from the reeds. I will add more later in the thread if necessary. This map is a zero in all regards.
How did those mobile game Chinks do Nuketown better with Alpha Omega than the mainline NIGGERS at Treyarch? They should be embarrassed for shitting this out, and people NEED to take action against this garbage. THREE MONTHS for THIS!
