In defense of masturbation

Posted under /ipol/

My most controversial one yet...
To quote Diogenes
"I wish it were as easy to banish hunger by rubbing my belly."
Exactly! And as you might consider when banishing hunger you should do it with respect to your moral well being in regards to masturbation IE dont overdo it, nor underdo it, and dont consume what is pernicious..
Also ive never seen someone do nofap successfully (except maybe if you have a clinically low libido xD)
I believe sexual urges are a natural output response akin to pooping and peeing and we dont retention for the latter so why should we the former?
Thoughts?

To be fair, you should always try to control your sexual urges in a way that's productive. In a majority of scenarios I've heard of, it would seem as if people who have nothing to do at the time fall into the habit of self-pleasure. Finding a hobby or thing to do, putting in the effort needed, and accomplishing something for the sole reason of doing it will eliminate like ninety percent of that mindset that causes people to go down addictive gooning. The other ten percent doesn't need attention, btb. I think a lot of people have started to overshare their habits online in a way that I would deem gross no matter how you shake it. People need to stop talking about them being addicted to masturbating or partaking in the act of breaking addiction regarding it, because that shit is weird and I just don't want to know about that. It's like seeing a homeless man on the street, jonesing for a fix I'm not aware of, and suddenly he lurches at me and begs for my attention because he's on #nocrack. Like NIGGA! I don't want to know that you smoke crack, had smoked crack, and smoked so much crack that you looked inward and deemed it a big enough problem to stop smoking crack. If you want to stop, do it and not tell me! It seems less performative and more definite that way.

At least when the #nofap memes started, it was because of the rising problem of Internet gooners online. I liked the minion edits and whatnot because it was funny to see decrepit huskmen in the comments justify spending almost their entire day to gooning. I see the purpose of spreading this information about learning to resist addictive urges, but I will never see the purpose of keeping a public log of how many days it has been since you last touched your genitals. I will never see the purpose of stating publicly that you're participating in "No Nut November" other than to posture over your Internet friends and embarrass yourself.
