The closest Arabs got to being civilized

I think the arab world would benefit if there was a united states of arabia that does not emphasize sharia law at all and is an atheist state, i think the United Arab Republic was the closest they came to that

Actual Arabs who live in Arabia seem to be pretty prosperous right now. Buuut, I don't think the whole "import a bunch of Indian slaves that dwarf your native population" is a very sustainable strategy for national development
