Soyjak is a derivative of the 'wojak' meme that first appeared on 4chan's /int/ board in 2017. The meme quickly gained popularity, eventually becoming an entirely different meme than wojak. Many communities have formed around soyjaks, with the largest and most famous being 'the soysphere' (soyjak.party, Soybooru, Soyjak Wiki, and various splinter sites/communities). The soysphere is partially intertwined with the culture of SWABooru' itself.
