What do we think of FNAF?

My take:
Games:
• I only care about the OG Scott Cawthon games made from 2014-2018 (FNAF 1 - Ultimate Custom Night).
• FNAF 1, 3, 4, UCN and Pizzera Simulator are the only ones i could see myself playing again, those games are alright, unfortunately, most of them lack vsync, such as FNAF 1.
• I didn't like FNAF 2, it's too tedious and quicky becomes repetitive, i also don't care for Sister Location.
Movies:
The first FNAF movie was nice, i found the 2nd FNAF movie dissapointing, i hope the 3rd movie is good though, a film about Springtrap has serious potential, if it dissapoints me then i'm not seeing the other FNAF films Blumhouse has planned.
Miscellaneous thoughts:
• Scott Cawthon sacrificed artistic integrity in favor of selling out to continue FNAF for God knows how long.
• I used to like FNAF duing my elementary school years becuase i found the lore interesting, nowadays i'm disinterested in FNAF becuase the lore is nonsensical, broken and poorly written.
• Often times, FNAF fangames exceed the quality of the original games in various aspects (horror, graphics, gameplay, ECT...),
• All the FNAF games should be free, Scott most likely makes enough money through merchandise and movies, for now it's best to pirate them (albeit, Pizza Sim is free on Gamejolt).
• FNAF's fandumb can oftentimes be cringe.

Only 1-4 are the only kino ones. The others are slop made for troons and furcucks but that’s just my opinion. The fandom isn’t really perfect bc there are either cringey faggot edgy animation “memers” or keyed funny sfm animators

I always liked Scott's design philosophy, and if he put himself into directing a larger experience hands-on, then it's capable of being something memorable. He does need to stop feeding Matpat and his audience, though. That's why the storytelling is abominable. It's also one of the few fandumbs that split off into equal parts cringe groups and quality groups due to Scott being too hecking Hitlerino for trannies and a hefty chunk of furries.

Contradictory to what i said in my OP, i quite like all the Scott Cawthon games, even if 2 and Sister Location are duds, atleast in my opinion.

What you say is very true. It also doesn't help that he was pumping these games out very quickly, such as FNAF 4 which was released ahead of schedule when it was planned to release on Halloween 2015. One thing i've always adored about his games were the minigames hidden within, like in FNAF 2 where they'd randomly appear after dying or in FNAF 3 where each night has it's own minigame.

That is true, FNAF's fandom is very very creative including fangames, fan animations such as animated "vhs tapes" and "ransomware", memes, music videos, ECT... i wouldn't blame anybody for still liking FNAF.

I've seen snippets of gameplay before, the asthetic is truly something to behold in that game, i might gjve it a try.
