John 19:14: The death sentence for Jesus was passed at "the sixth hour" (noon), so the crucifixion could not have taken place until sometime in the afternoon. Mark 15:25: "And it was the third hour, and they crucified him" (9 AM).

John 3:16: Salvation through faith/belief in Jesus: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
