Why you SHOULD support the new scrolling system

This is an impressive new feature that will bring more users since it is 9 posts in a condensed square which not only allows for more mobility but also an illusion of more choice.
I know without any configurations the new update would only shows 9 posts at a time while right now the front page displays 20 poats, however the latters postsare too seperated which I think creates an illusion of less posts. For instance if I was maintaining an icecream parlor and wanted to display the flavors I wouldnt do it via a long spaced horizontal stretch but rather in 3x3 squares. I also believe this is why most boorus (that arent ment for arousal, but even then those websites are deemed late compared to other arousal oriented sites) are kind of lackluster in activity. The "I like the old one better" comments I think are pure sunk cost fallacies and it leaves out new potential users who maybe think our current system is janky entirely out of the equation.

I should explain the system clearly here so no one's lost. The new mobile system implements a dynamically-shifting design based on the number of image previews loaded in per page. The default mobile gallery size will be set to 9, but the default posts per page load will be raised to 27 across the board to fit within the multiplicative range for beautification reasons. Each section of the page, or what I call "softpages," is indicated using the Greek alphabetical order immediately after the page number. For every page load by default, there will be three softpages before you need to load the next page. The number of softpages there are to scroll through before loading the next page can be changed in the user settings either by setting the amount of posts a page can load or by setting the mobile gallery size to a smaller number.

Or you could just go to the most recent post in Collective and swipe to the next post (after the patch comes out). I finally figured out the system, and I'm adding more touch controls to quickly smile, frown, and favorite posts. There was literally no reason why Danbooru couldn't implement swiping inside posts in their own infrastructure besides general unspoken hostilities towards the mobile audience.

As worked on today, this post showcases that even if you set the two gallery options to an asymmetrical number, it still tries to display it in an easier to digest fashion.

In short, when the patch comes out, I'm increasing the default posts per page to 27 for the 3x3 grid system. I left the door open for easy user customization, so it's up to the (registered) user whether they want to use this new system or revert to the old one we're current on right now.

The large buttons on either side make it easier to browse the gallery, normally on $WÅbooru you have to scroll all the way down to two tiny arrows to get to the next set of images, this new layout looks much more comfortable to use.
